Why We Started This Program
The idea behind the Service for Our Neighbors Program is simple: slips, trips, and falls are one of the leading causes of serious injury among older adults — and many of them are preventable. Driveways, sidewalks, and walkways covered in algae, mold, and mildew become dangerously slick, especially in the rainy Georgia climate. For elderly residents who live alone or are on a fixed income, getting these surfaces cleaned can feel impossible.
At Samaritan Light Pressure Washing, our faith calls us to love and serve our neighbors — not just as a business slogan, but as a genuine conviction. When we saw the need in our community, we didn't want to just talk about it. We wanted to act. That's why we launched this program: to use our skills and equipment to make a real, tangible difference in the lives of elderly residents right here in Gainesville, GA.
Every month, we select recipients from our nominations and show up — pressure washer in hand — to clean walkways, driveways, sidewalks, front steps, and porches completely free of charge. We do this not for publicity, but because we believe every person in our community deserves to live safely and with dignity.

We Review & Reach Out
Our team reviews each nomination with care. We'll contact you within 48 hours to confirm details and schedule a visit that works for the recipient.
We Show Up & Serve
Our team arrives on the scheduled day, cleans the walkways, driveways, and steps, and leaves the property safer and more beautiful — at absolutely no cost.
Who Is Eligible?
Our goal is to help those who need it most. While we try to serve as many people as possible, we prioritize nominations that meet the following criteria:
Elderly residents aged 65 or older in Gainesville, GA and surrounding areas
Individuals with physical limitations that make regular home maintenance difficult
Seniors on a fixed income who cannot afford professional cleaning services
Residents whose walkways, driveways, or steps pose a genuine slip-and-fall risk
Community members referred by a neighbor, family member, church, or local organization
Recipients located within our service area: Gainesville, Oakwood, Flowery Branch, or Buford

Note: Due to high demand, we focus on safety-critical surfaces. Full-property cleans are reserved for our paid services.
